Padobranski klub ,,Banja Luka“

Skydiving Club “Banja Luka”is the legal inheritor of the first aero-club in BiH, which was founded in the 19th  September 1932th  in Banja Luka, thanks to Mr. Ban  Svetislav T. Milosavljevic. For the first president of the Aero-Club was elected Dr. MethodsLazarevic.

Our club is the holder of the tradition of the first skydiving jump in BiH, which was conducted 15th January 1948th in our club at the airport Zalužani in Banjaluka, and bravest for this historic accomplishment was women from Banja luka, Nevenka Ličina Majc.

Nena is the founder of skydiving and sport aviation in Bosnia because she was a member of the first generation that finished  training  for motor  pilots and model airplanes, then in Bosnia .

There are rare sport organizations as a skydiving club “Banja Luka”, that can proydly commend 78 years of continuity in its duration and successful work.

In 2008. year our sport club celebrated a big anniversary - sixty years of skydiving in city of Banja Luka, Republika Srpska  and Bosnia. For that occasion, the central celebration was organized and a magnificent international aero-rally, when there was a very successfully organized an international skydiving Cup "Nena Ličina”.

For  sixtieth anniversary of skydiving ,skydiiving club “Banja Luka” organized  the record-breaking event in number of jumps performed in one day. For that occasion, on 31 August 2008. , Nemanja Goronja, skydiving teacher in skydiving club “Banja Luka” , with a parachute-type "wing" broke a record of BiH and the Balkans in the number of  jumps performed in 24 hours by jumping 60 times in just one day.

For this stunt Nemanja for the national event of selecting the ten best athletes of Republika Srpska  in 2008. year received a special award for sporting venture in this year and at  the Day of the Republika Srpska  awarded by the President of the Republic by the medal  of Njegos third level.

In the recent period since 1996,  Skydiving club “Banja Luka” participated in individual and team competitions held in Russia, Serbia, Greece, Spain, Israel,Croatia,Austria,Montenegro,Hungary,Macedonia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. On these competitions we have won numerous medals and awards.

On the basis of results achieved, skilled personnel, availability of space and equipment, we can proudly point  out that Sc. “Banja Luka” today  is the most successful and best organized aviation club in the Bosnia and Herzegovina and in the wider environment.

For The long-term consideration of future development, based on modern global trends in skydiving and using experiences from developed countries in the region and beyond,the main officers of the Skydiving Club Banja Luka,  on the proposal of the expert  council adopted a decision  for establishing the Skydiving School Centre in Banja Luka "(center)
The Training Center perform education and training  for skydivers ,  skydiving and aviation personnel.
